Who we are

Instituto Península is a social organization that works in Education and Sports to improve teacher training because we understand that teachers are the basis for quality public education. We work on the integral development of teachers in the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social dimensions so that they are better prepared to" strengthen students' learning process. We think and act systematically, seeking partnerships to develop Brazilian education.

At Instituto Península, we believe it is essential to unite the best of existing theories about teachers with the profession in everyday life to execute our actions. Our organization supports four initiatives that are linked to the purpose of transforming lives through education, sports, and the integral development of the individual, and develops projects that help the educational training of teachers and take a systemic approach to the career.

Singularidades is a college that is innovative in the initial and continuing education of teachers. It combines quality technical knowledge with focus on practice in the classroom. It offers bachelor/licentiate’s degree programs in Pedagogy, Letters, and Mathematics, as well as graduate, extension, and online courses. It also consults for public and private institutions and NGOs.

Vivescer is the platform that focuses on the integral development of the teacher, based on the development of four dimensions (emotion, mind, body, and purpose). It is also a space for educators to exchange experiences, discuss the challenges of the profession, and share good teaching practices in a unique online community format created just for them.

Impulsiona is Instituto Península's sports-education program that uses sports as a tool for the integral development of students. It offers free teaching materials and courses that enable educators to disseminate the values and practice of sports in schools.

Sports as a pedagogical approach for whole child development

The São Paulo High-Performance Sports Center (Núcleo de Alto Rendimento Esportivo de São Paulo, or NAR-SP) operates in the evaluation and preparation of high-performance athletes and teams. It is recognized as a center of sports excellence and an international reference in scientific research and sports training. It also develops important work with child and adolescent athletes.
